Statewide River Conservation Organization Seeks Executive Director in Charleston, West Virginia  The West Virginia Rivers Coalition ("WVRC"), www.wvrivers.org, is a statewide river conservation group moving to Charleston with a mission of conserving and restoring West Virginia's exceptional rivers and streams. This mission is achieved through a combination of advocacy, outreach, and education. The executive director directs and coordinates all aspects of WVRC operations and implements policies of the Board to accomplish our mission. This includes providing leadership, coordination and communication between WVRC staff, Board, affiliate groups and other state organizations and agencies. The successful candidate will have proven ability in fundraising and financial management with two or more years' experience in environmental/conservation/non-profit management strongly preferred. Free Legal Service for Whistleblowing Miners Our good friends at the Appalachian Center for the Economy and the Environment have launched a new West Virginia Mine Safety Project.  The project provides free legal services to West Virginia coal miners who have suffered retaliation after voicing concerns about safety in the workplace.
