On Monday, September 18th, 2006, the Worldwatch Institute released a report titled, American Energy: The Renewable Path to Energy Security in cooperation with the Center for American Progress.

The report advocates the thoughtful expansion of renewable energy technologies as the clear and practical path to ending this country's addiction to fossil fuels-an approach that would provide dramatic benefits to our environment, our economy, and our national security.
